Baptism

Baptism….saves you.  It is not a removal of dirt from the body, but an appeal to God for a clear conscience, through the resurrection of Jesus Christ, who has gone into heaven and is at the right hand of God, with angels, authorities, and powers subject to him.” - 1 Peter 3:21

For Catholics, the Sacrament of Baptism is the first step in a lifelong journey of commitment and discipleship. Whether we are baptized as infants or adults, Baptism is the Church’s way of celebrating and enacting the embrace of God.

Infant Baptism

We would be pleased to help you prepare to have your child baptized.

For a child to be baptized here we ask that the parents:

• Be registered parishioners of parish for at least 6 mos.
• Meet with the priest to discuss family needs
• Complete required parish packet (available from office to family AFTER their meeting with priest)
• Attend a one-session baptism preparation class offered at the church

Adult Baptism

Adults can be baptized after completing the Rite of Christian Initiation for Adults (RCIA).
